Our fabulous new bar area is now finished. It’s a great bar, ideal for socialising and relaxing and is … probably …. the best bar in Derbyshire!

We have a big screen TV and we show all the major sporting fixtures .. without upsetting our diners. A great atmosphere and lots of friendly locals!

We offer a fabulous selection of Real Ales, from our own Boot Beer Brewery, and always have plenty of Guest Ales on, from our local Breweries.

Try our Boot Beer, handcrafted in our own Microbrewery…

Boot Bitter   4.3% ABV

Balance is all about ‘not too much but just enough’.

In our Best Bitter we are looking for the perfectly balanced traditional English ale. Floor malted Maris Otter Pale Ale and Crystal malts with just a hint of Roasted Barley set up the malty palate.

Two varieties of English hops – Challenger and Goldings give us clean, crisp bitterness.

Late hopping with an exciting blend of specially selected English aroma hops (the varieties have to remain secret) gives the fresh Citrus/spicy aroma that completes the balancing act.

Malt and Hops in perfect balance.

Clod Hopper   3.9% ABV

Our Gold is an unashamedly hoppy beer.

Maris Otter Pale Ale and Caragold Malts create the golden canvas for this enchanting Pale Ale.

Judicious late, very late and dry hop additions give a citrus dominated beer; its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a climax of hoppiness hints of caramel and an enduring, bitter finish.

Tuffer’s Old   4.6% ABV

Boot Porter’s exciting use of Malts and Cereals (Maris Otter Pale Ale, Amber, Munich, Dark Crystal, Black, Roasted Barley, Oats), Roasted Barley and specially selected English Hops (Challenger, Goldings, Bramling Cross,) produce a truly unique beer. Satisfying but not satiating.

Its aromas are cappuccino, chocolate, dark fruits and vibrant fresh peel. The mouthfeel is velvety and rich, with notes of coffee, chocolate and hazelnuts with warming alcohol and cocoa in the finish.

Repton Cross   3.7% ABV

Maris Otter Pale Ale and Crystal Malts give a beer with a smooth mouth feel and hints of nutty roasted character.

Goldings and Challenger early hop and Cascade late give a well balanced yet robust bitterness.

Smooth in the mouth with hints of roasted malt characters and a nice dry finish and hint of bitter.

The perfect session bitter here to help the rebirth of the Repton Cross.
